Early development_ precautions

Christina was very serious and careful preparing for the birth of her first child. When little Arishka was born, her mother already had a plan for her development: the Montessori method, the Nikitin method, Vinogradov’s music program, baby yoga, and also an English course for children under 3 years old. The days were scheduled by the minute.

By the age of 6, Arina could read, write and speak two languages. Christina was proud of her daughter, so smart and already prepared for school.

And here is the first class – no expected praise, no excellent grades … It turned out that all Arina’s knowledge was mechanical, without logical connections between them. By the end of the first semester, the girl began to sleep poorly, get nervous and refuse to go to school.

Then Christina realized that her nightmare came to life – the child is not ready for school. But why? What about early learning methods proven over the years? And what to do next, how to save the situation? Too many questions…

What is wrong with Christina? At first glance, it seems so logical: the sooner you start teaching a child, the more he/she will have time to learn and remember. At the same time, young children are very receptive, they easily learn everything new, they have a lot of free time.

But in reality the situation is not so clear cut. Let’s figure it out.

Often training is like training. “Sasha, where is the letter “A”? Let’s look at a book now, read it, then I’ll turn on the cartoons for you. Do not be distracted!” In just a few days, Sasha, according to the laws of the formation of a conditioned reflex, learns a simple truth: if he names letters, adults rejoice, if not, they are upset. And now the knowledge of the alphabet in the family is the key to success, but the child’s interest in letters is declining, and anxiety is growing. But parents want to do well, so Sasha portrays enthusiasm and hides his true desires and feelings. Where it leads? To the fact that it will always be so. The child will become an adult, and will always put his desires in second place.

Children’s mischief and “goofing around” such as jumping on the bed, singing funny songs, pillow wrestling is an important stage in a child’s life. So he learns to focus on his bodily sensations, recognize fatigue and regulate activity. During the same classes, the brain and body of the baby are tense, there is an overload of the stimulation. As a result, early neuroses.

A child in school may lose motivation to learn. Why study? At the age of five, he already knew what his classmates are teaching now. If the child realizes that most of the material is already known to him, he will miss the moment when a new one begins and will not be able to connect it with existing knowledge. By this time, the habit of studying “slipshod” has already been consolidated and it will be difficult to overcome it.

Experts note that many children who know all the letters at the age of 3 cannot catch the ball at 6, do not feel their body, do not know how to interact with peers, are hyperactive and restless.

Therefore, you should not rush your baby to study – it is much more useful to do with him what is really important at preschool age: sculpt, memorize body parts, seasons, play role-playing games, stage theatrical scenes from fairy tales, encourage communication with peers.

As a result, by school age, the child will have formed all the necessary brain structures and learning will be easy for him.

Professional teachers can help solve all these complex problems in a comfortable environment, taking into account the level of physical and mental development of the child. For example, in the daycare “Nuances”.
